David et Goliath cambodgiens
(2004-Déc-27)

A remarkable DVD on deforestation in Cambodia (2004-Dec-26)
Khmerintelligence.org : The London-based environmental watchdog Global Witness has just produced a remarkable DVD titled "The Green Deal in Cambodia" that contains shocking scenes of the continuous destruction of Cambodia's forest and its disastrous consequences on the rural people's livelihoods, despite the Phnom Penh government's repeated promises to put an end to illegal logging and to crack down on the underlying corruption. For more information visit http://globalwitness.org/reports/index.php?section=cambodia or send an e-mail to mail@globalwitness.org .

Cut in Cambodia, Made in Cambodia ? (2004-Dec-23)

Koh Santepheap : Some 30,000 bamboo trees cut in Kratieh province have been floated down the Mekong and passed under the Kizuna bridge, Kampong Cham, at night time. The complicity of the Division of waters and forests is suspected. A female lobbyist was said to have been active at Kampong Cham. Agriculture minister Chan Sarun's circular #316 is worth less than the toilet paper since nobody of his staff abides it.
