: King : I Never Listen to Anybody.
King Norodom
Sihanouk denied allegations that he was forced by his wife Queen
Norodom Monineath Sihanouk to write recent
letters which supported the CPP and Samdech Hun Sen to be prime minister
in the government. In a recent letter, the King wrote that Samdech Hun
Sen should be the Prime Minister of the new government while CPP President
and Senate President Chea Sim should remain in his position and current
First Deputy President of the National Assembly Heng Samrin should be
installed as the Assembly President. He did not mention the position of
Funcinpec President Prince Norodom Ranariddh.
This writing sparked criticism from
opposition politicians who alleged that the King
sided with the ruling Cambodia People’s Party (CPP) and current Prime Minister
Hun Sen. And what he wrote was on the idea of his wife Queen Norodom Monineath
Sihanouk. “In my life, I have never let anyone — a Cambodian
or a foreigner — force me to write what is not my idea,” the King wrote
in his letter dated on August 21. “I have sacrificed myself to serve
the nation and country for independence, credit and territorial integrity,”
the King wrote. “I love the independence and credit of the nation and fatherland
as much as I love my own independence and credit.
I have never listened to a woman, a man, a person, a foreigner or a power
country,” the King continued in the letter.
N.P. : Except flattery?
Who asked you, Sire, to hide VC-NVN troops on Cambodian soil?
