Born Losers (2003-Mar-26)

Nearovi Pen : These children may not be palm-tree-climbers, but they left school to be workers, vendors or beggars. Parents' tyranny or government's failure?
Santhor : I believe that failure on the part of the government to provide basic needs, health care and especially education to Cambodian children must be part of a crime of today's Cambodia's politics. These children were born to be "future", not "losers".
khmer_prajathiptey@juno.com : Lok Sok Hach, a brilliant economic expert, has put it clearly when he was in Washington D.C. early this month. He said the problem with Cambodian social economy is primarily in the political [ruling] system of the country. No matter how many laws and regulations exist... no matter how much international assistances are provided... as long as the tyrannic rotten corrupt ruling system is in place in Cambodia the country won't get better, Sok Hach said. I hope this will indirectly answer your question.
Nearovi Pen : In the 60's, old Khmer dignitaries liked to tell Khmer youths : "Our country is like a fruitful tree. We take care of it so that you can one day inherit it and share the fruit". Well, after what happened to Cambodia, we must say Khmer dignitaries not only took all the fruit for themselves, but in order to do so quickly they fell the tree and even tore off the roots! I think the three of us would be unanimous to state "From 2003, Cambodians should call a robber AR-CHAUR and not His Excellency" !

Three Cambodians Very Buddhist (2003-Mar-02)

Mrs Hun Sen :
I woke up before dawn and cooked rice for this offering. I shall not go to hell because of Piseth Pilika!

Hun Sen :
Venerable! I liberated our nation from Pol Pot and nominated His Holiness Tep Vong. Am I an atheist?

The monk :
Your Excellencies are both faithful Buddhist!
