Journal Manasikar Khmer, Feb 25, 2003 : Ieng Sary, Nuon Chea, Khieu Samphan discreetly crossed the border and entered Thailand, the evening of Feb. 22.
Journal Chakraval, Feb 26 : South Korea and Japan want to set up a joint fund and compensate the Thai in place of the Khmer. Feb 27 : Prasat Ta Moan temple has now been taken by the Thai after the (Jan. 29) riot.

Ben Nemm : When the Thais really steal Khmer temples and land, the Cambodian leaders act deaf and dumb, but when they heard of unfounded rumour they pushed hooligans into schizophrenic frenzy.

N.P. : The Cambodian have only one leader. The leader never shared his powers, he called that "Unity". So, the intermediary, those between the leader and the hooligans, wait for their turn, compete among themselves but never challenge directly the sole leader (or the latter never let it happen). Hence, the solution is to free ourselves, be the "free men and women", abandon our search for "leaders" and decide our fate by means of compromise and consensus : that is called "decentralization (3 levels of government)" and "equality (impossible if the ancient titles and privileges are still there)".

Koh Santepheap : Child Protesters Stunned Police Operation
Chamkarmon district police Friday failed to execute a Court Decision to demolish 44 houses built on a disputed land in Tumnup Tuk commune due to child protest, said the district police. The district police led by a Municipal Court prosecutor Friday morning executed the court verdict to tear down 44 houses accused of being on an occupied land in Village 4, TumnupTuk commune, Chankarmon district, Phnom Penh. But the operation was impossible to put forward after some 40 young boys and girls standing under the heat of sunny day and badly crying while they were holding pictures of King Norodom Sihanouk and Queen and asking the police not to tear down their houses. “The commiserated children care very much for their houses and families. They are pitiful crying and asking us not to demolish their houses,” said a high ranking police officer, who asked not to be named.

“My heart is broken when the children are badly crying, and our force have to be withdrawn for another reconsideration.”  The 44 families, however, said they have been living on this land since 1993 and it was not belonging to anyone. That’s why they did not move out. They were ready to die for this land if the police still want to take it back. “We don’t demand for anything beside a place for living. If the authorities have to seize our land, we want a replacement land. We are very poor,” said a representative of the 44 families.
