Vibol UNG : A Man Singer from Banteay Meanchey
AUGUST 14th, 2003

Vibol Ung is born on September 08, 1973 in Mongkul Borey district, Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodia, to his father Ping Prak and his mother Heang Hem. The fifth son of six siblings including two sisters started his self-music exercise in 2000, the time he left high school. Two years later the gorgeous began his singing occupation at a Khmer-Thai border restaurant called New Golden Dragon. Later the singer was in motion and in hopes to jump to a high only few know. The transition to the capital was successfully made in early 2003 where he rose at Beng Bopha but the 30-year-old becomes a permanent vocalist for Amika restaurant now.
At the same time the fine-looking chap often takes TV stages at weekend’s programs and also as presenter on probation for FM 93.5 MHz working from 7 pm to 9 pm. Though fairly occupied with lots of work, the soloist who has strong interest in an icon, Sisamouth Sin, the most famous male singer during the 1960s, is doing his singing course to advance his voice at Pracheanupheap Music Center with direct song coaching from Bunthan Yan. Vibol’s ambition is to have his voice recorded for music productions and to develop into a popular artist in this country.     [ Koh Santepheap ]
